The Ohio Department of Transportation is again asking drivers to show extra caution for their snow plows now that 28 have been hit this season.
They department has shared photos of recent accidents on their social media accounts, pleading with drivers to "move over and stay away from plow trucks while they do their job to clear the roads for you."
According to ODOT Press Secretary Matt Bruning, 22 snow plows were hit during the last winter season.
"'Give us room to work' isn't just about protecting our people, it’s for your safety too," one recent ODOT social media post reads. "Plows are large, heavy vehicles with blind spots. If you're involved in a crash with one, your vehicle will get damaged."
