North Charleston, S.C. — On Thursday morning, three people and six children were injured after a collision between a school bus and another vehicle on Patriot Boulevard.

According to the North Charleston Police Department, the driver of the other vehicle with the two passengers were transported to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Andrew Pruitt, Director of Communications for Charleston County schools, told Spectrum that 41 students were on the bus heading to R.B. Stall High School. The six injured students were transported to a local hospital as well.

According to the South Carolina Department of Public Safety, there has been 1 fatal collision, 92 injury collisions, 356 property damage only collisions, 449 total collision, 194 persons injured in 2024.

NCPD Public Relations, Harvey Jacobs says that, “ The department’s traffic unit is investigating the crash.”
