BAY PINES, Fla. — Normal operations have resumed at the C.W. Bill Young VA Medical Center after an investigation into a report of a suspicious package.
According to Bay Pines VA officials, the package was dropped off in a waiting room area of the building around 9 a.m. Tuesday.
VA police immediately responded.
Officials said a search yielded nothing dangerous or harmful and an all-clear was issued.
Patients and staff were safely been removed from the area, according to officials. For safety purposes, access to certain areas of the medical center was limited.
Officials said that they will be rescheduling any appointments that veterans had today.
