KENTUCKY — After a pretty quiet week, rain and storm chances ramp back up for the weekend.
What You Need To Know
- Scattered showers and storms are possible both days
- Severe weather is not likely
- Isolated flash flooding is also possible
We're expecting a more southerly flow to develop by the weekend, increasing our chances for showers and a few weaker storms. Saturday's threat will mainly be in the afternoon and early evening, as typical daytime heating will lead to pop-up storms across the region. Storms could bring heavy rains and gusty winds.
There looks to be a slightly greater chance of showers and storms Sunday, with more heavy rain possible. This could lead to some brief flooding issues in areas that see repeated rounds of storms. Highs both days are expected to be in the 80s.
