TAMPA, Fla. – The Tampa Bay Buccaneers opened their three-day minicamp Friday with a variety of storylines.

The Bucs will get their first look at first-round draft pick Emeka Egbuka, as well as other draft picks and undrafted free agents.

What You Need To Know

  • Bucs have signed five of their six draft picks, including first round WR Emeka Egbuka

  • Bucs begin three-day rookie minicamp Friday

  • Undrafted rookie free agents also participating, including 464-pound ex-Gator DL Desmond Watson and Colorado safety Shilo Sanders

Tampa Bay signed five of those draft picks this week to their rookie contracts, including first-round pick, Ohio State wide receiver Emeka Egbuka.

Other draft picks signed include WR Tez Johnson (7th round), DE Elijah Roberts (6th round), OLB David Walker (4th round) and CB Jacob Parrish (3rd round).

That leaves only one Tampa Bay draft pick unsigned: second-round cornerback Benjamin Morrison.

Meanwhile, one of the undrafted free agents is garnering a huge share of attention:  6-foot-6, 464-pound defensive tackle Desmond Watson.

A graduate of nearby Seffner High School, Watson played at Florida and now finds himself to be the NFL’s largest player currently.

Among the undrafted free agents, offensive tackle Ben Chukwuma from Georgia State and linebacker John Bullock from Nebraska may turn heads. The Bucs also signed undrafted free agent Shilo Sanders to a deal.

With thin depth in the secondary, particularly at safety, the Colorado safety and son of NFL Hall of Famer and current Colorado Coach Deion Sanders could make the team.
