FINDLAY, Ohio — Findlay residents will be able to take care of their bulk trash that may include storm debris near the end of this month.
The Findlay-Hancock County Community Foundation is sponsoring a drop off for residents from April 19 through April 26. The hours for the drop off are from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., or until the dumpsters are full on Saturdays. Weekday hours are from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. or until the dumpsters are full.
Dumpsters will be placed at Public Works Department, 330 N. Cory St.
The drop off will be held alongside the Backyard Mission Trip on Saturday, April 26 and Earth Day on Tuesday, April 22.
No hazardous materials, commercials tires, concrete, appliances or electronics will be accepted. The city said proof of residency or ID may be required.
Officials said the city will accept noncommercial tires, but they must be off the rim and ID or proof of residency will be neeeded.
In Ohio, it is illegal to transport more than 10 scrap tires at anytime without a registration certificate from the Ohio Environmental Protection Agency
Severe storms and tornadoes tore through the area just last week, leaving days of clean-up for some residents.
