House Republicans narrowly passed President Donald Trump’s sweeping domestic policy bill, which now heads to the Senate.

The bill makes dramatic changes to programs affecting millions of New Yorkers, like Medicaid and the federal food assistance program, known as SNAP.

The bill also contains provisions that would benefit New Yorkers, like a higher cap on state and local tax deductions, also known as the SALT cap.

Nathan Gusdorf, the executive director of the Fiscal Policy Institute, joined NY1’s Bobby Cuza on “Inside City Hall” Friday to break this down.
