The Justice Department has reportedly opened an investigation into former Gov. Andrew Cuomo for allegedly lying during the investigation into his administration’s COVID-19 response.
The mayoral hopeful was asked to testify before Congress last year on how the New York State Health Department reported on nursing home deaths during the pandemic.
This comes as the Justice Department under the Trump administration has launched several investigations into the president’s perceived enemies — such as state Attorney General Letitia James, who brought and won a civil case against President Donald Trump last year.
