The popular HDS Tooth Fairy Fun Day held on Oahu for nearly 20 years will make its way to the Maui Ocean Center from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. June 1.
Hawaii Dental Service makes oral health education fun for keiki with the help of the HDS Tooth Fairy, who will be taking photos with children, giving out prizes and sharing valuable oral health tips with parents. There will also be oral health games and exhibits for keiki to learn how to take care of their teeth.
“The HDS Tooth Fairy and others in the HDS ‘ohana are looking forward to giving Maui families more reasons to smile,” said HDS President and CEO Dr. Diane Paloma in a release. “We appreciate our partnership with the Maui Ocean Center and the beautiful venue for this exciting event.”
The event is free for kamaʻāina.
HDS is also looking for volunteers at least 15 years old to help with the games. In addition, high school and college students interested in a career in the dental profession can volunteer to help with the free dental screenings alongside HDS-participating Maui dentists. Those interested in volunteering are asked to register.
