State Senator Buck Newton (NC-04) proudly represents Wilson, Wayne, and Greene Counties, which are known for their easter North Carolina-style BBQ. Newton has learned over his tenure in office that legislation, much like BBQ, requires times and patience. 

Newton enjoys talking to people and learning about the critical issues in his district. Among those issues, is the need for high paying jobs and education reform. 

Newton considers his district to be "the heart of eastern North Carolina." In his free time, he enjoys long-range shooting and white-water kayaking.
