Hailing from Hawaii's 48th District, State Representative Lisa Kitagawa's favorite part of her job is giving back to the place where she grew up and addressing the issues community members bring to her.
In her Know Your Electeds interview, Kitagawa says that if she could pass any bill tomorrow, she would push for paid family leave. She hopes that it would make it easier for Hawaiians to take time off to care for their family members without worrying about making ends meet.
Kitagawa's favorite thing about her district is its beautiful landscape, with views of the bay and the mountains. Her hidden talent is hula dancing.
