Neither George W. Bush nor Laura voted for any presidential candidate Tuesday.
Their abstention was confirmed Tuesday by Freddy Ford, a spokesman for the couple.
The announcement was made following speculation sparked by conservative radio host Rush Limbaugh that the former commander-in-chief voted for Hillary Clinton.
Bush's spokesman said while they didn't cast votes in the presidential race, they did vote for other Republican candidates on the ballot.
Ford is now urging Limbaugh to apologize for misleading his listeners.
The Bushes have previously said they were sitting this presidential election cycle out.
