DAYTON, Ohio — Kettering Health said in an update that all affected systems have been secured and that the tools used by the third-party to disrupt the health system have been eradicated.
"We have strong confidence that our network-connected devices are secure, and our connections to our partners are fully protected," Kettering Health said in the update.

Kettering Health was first affected by a cybersecurity incident on May 20, which they said was launched by ransomware group Interlock.
External partners and an internal team reviewed all systems and ensured all security protocols are in place.
Last week in an update Kettering Health said employees, partners and members of the communities were being targeted by scam texts, emails and calls and urged recipients to not respond, click links, open attachments, to hang up immediately if contacted via phone and report all suspicious messages to the police.
