LOS ANGELES — Light rain fell across Los Angeles and Orange County Sunday, with more precipitation expected Sunday evening and Monday morning, forecasters said.

"Rainfall rates will be under a tenth of an inch per hour and will not pose any threats," according to the National Weather Service.

Snow levels will be quite high, with none expected below 7,000 feet.

Daytime and nighttime temperatures will be mild throughout the week, with highs generally in the 60s and most overnight temperatures in the 40s and lower 50s, dipping into the upper 30s in parts of the high desert.

More rain is in the forecast for Thursday, clearing in time for next weekend.
