DAYTON, Ohio — Cedarville University received national recognition with a Silver Status as a Military Friendly School for the 2025-26 academic year.
The award is for the university's support of military-affiliated students.

The Military Friendly Schools list is released annually and recognizes colleges and universities that show strong support in serving military communities.
Institutions across the country are evaluated on a range of criteria including: academic policies, student retention, financial air, loan repayment, career outcomes and overall campus support for military affiliated students.
Cedarville's recognition with a Silver status means it met or exceeded several national benchmarks, including:
- A one-year retention rate of at least 50% or higher for all students or veteran students alone
- A graduation rate of at least 50% or higher for all students or veteran students
- A loan default rate of 20% or lower for all students
- A job placement rate of 50% or higher for all graduates
"Beyond these metrics, Cedarville University remains committed to fostering a welcoming and supportive environment for military-affiliated students," Cedarville University said in a news release. "The university offers a variety of resources, including Reserve Officers' Training Corps (ROTC) programs, assistance with VA education benefits, a military support organization and individualized services designed to meet the unique needs of student veterans and their families."
