Previously closed from dusk to dawn, Mililani’s Kaomaʻaikū Neighborhood Park now has the extended hours of 5 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily.
The new hours came about after a discussion among the Mililani community facilitated by the Mililani-Waipio-Melemanu Neighborhood Board No. 25.
"Extending park hours at Kaomaʻaikū Neighborhood Park isn’t just about a schedule change; it’s about Mililani’s quality of life,” said Danielle Bass, Chair of Neighborhood Board No. 25, in a release.
“For residents who endure long commutes, this update opens up a safe, accessible space to unwind, connect, and pursue their passions in hockey, inline skating, and roller skating — even after a long day. This change reinforces our community's commitment to a healthier, more connected Mililani, creating a vibrant space where every resident can stay active, unwind, and feel at home,” Bass said.
The 12.38-acre park is at 95-1000 Makaunulau Street in Mililani.
