Charleston, S.C. — Over the weekend, Roper St. Francis Foundation launched Imagine: The Campaign for Roper St. Francis Healthcare. The $100 million fundraising initiative is set to run through 2030.
Over 500 donors and supporters gathered for the annual Roper Xavier Society Celebration at the Charleston Gaillard Center. At the event, a $20 million gift from the Medical Society of South Carolina was announced. According to the Foundation, this is the second largest donation to a healthcare system in the Lowcounty.
“This monumental contribution is a reflection of our belief in the incredible work being done through the Imagine campaign. We firmly believe in Roper St. Francis Healthcare’s ability to transform healthcare in the Lowcountry, and we are honored to be part of this effort to enhance the health and well-being of our community for years to come.” Said Medical Society of South Carolina CEO, Charles F. Rivers III.
According to the Foundation, the Imagine campaign is built on three important pillars; Delivering Outstanding Care, Transforming Health, and to Build Hospitals and Clinical Care Systems.
“As we look toward the future, this campaign represents more than just building or programs: It’s about improving lives, building a healthier future and ensuring that every patient has access to the highest-quality care,” said Joseph Deleon, President and CEO of Roper St. Francis Healthcare.
The hospital system leaders say this campaign is a powerful reflection of its commitment to not only advance the state of healthcare in the Lowcountry, but to create a future where innovation, compassion, and accessibility define every patient’s experience.
