South Carolina's 101st District State Representative Roger Kirby was inspired to run for office because he has a passion for serving the public. His favorite thing about being a legislator is helping improve the lives of his constituents.

Kirby's top priority for the rest of his term is to create a meeting center for his constituents in rural areas to congregate. He would say his district's people and its beauty set the area apart.

Kirby would take an out-of-town visitor to his hometown of Lake City. In his spare time, he likes to play music.
