Phillip Boudreaux joined Spectrum News in January 2020.
Boudreaux hails from Louisiana, where he began his career in journalism. He graduated from Nicholls State University with a degree in Broadcast Journalism.
The most impactful story he has every reported on was about the great flood in August of 2016. Boudreaux was on the ground and covered every angle. He hopes his stories will inspire people and local governments to take action to protect their communities.
Boudreaux speaks French as a second language and is currently studying Spanish.
When asked to describe Rochester in three words, Philip uses the Louisiana French expression “mais 'gardez donc”. This is Cajun French for "Well, would you look at that?"
His most “Rochester” moment was learning what red and white hots are. You know you’re part of the community talk about any type of hot dog, and eat a garbage plate like no big deal.
When Phillip isn't reporting, he might be exploring all the different sites that Rochester and the Finger Lakes has to offer with his wife.
