Democratic city comptroller candidate Justin Brannan discussed how to decrease the cost of living. He says to invest in early education and city parks, and ensure city agencies get funding.
The current city councilmember says the comptroller’s office keeps the city accountable for paying nonprofits, vendors and contractors on time.
Brannan says staffing and sustained attention can get things done. He says those are a top priority for him to ensure the city continue to function, and shared his campaign agenda.
He talked about standing up to the next mayor and President Donald Trump.
