NATIONWIDE — Frito-Lay is recalling certain bags of Stacy’s Simply Naked Pita Chips due to “undeclared milk ingredients” in the products, the company announced in a news release.

The recall was issued after Frito-Lay said 228 bags of the pita chips were filled with another flavor, possibly exposing consumers to milk.

According to the release, a small number of its 7 1/3 ounce bags of the Simply Naked Pita Chips might contain milk, which could cause serious or life-threatening allergic reactions from people who suffer from milk allergies or sensitivity to milk.

The 7 1/3 ounce Stacy’s Simply Naked Pita Chips being recalled were distributed nationwide and have an April 23, 2019 “use by” date. There is also a ‘65M127902’ manufacturing code listed under the date, which can be found on the front, top right side of the bag, and a UPC code ‘028400564632’ listed on the back in the bottom right side.

Frito-Lay also said products with the UPC code ‘028400564632’ is listed on the back in the bottom right side.

According to the release, one related allergic reaction from a consumer was reported.
