SAN ANTONIO – The San Antonio Commanders were inside the Alamodome on Saturday afternoon for training camp, along with a few friends, family and friends to cheer them on.

  • Partnership with H-E-B offered free limited edition t-shirt with ticket purchase
  • Fans watched practice, viewed locker room and on-field games
  • Season starts February 9 at Alamodome

As part of the Commanders partnership with H-E-B, fans were welcomed to come to the open house to purchase tickets which would guarantee them a free limited edition t-shirt. They were also welcomed to watch practice, view the locker room, and enjoy on-field games following practice.

“It’s great to be in the dome, just a great venue, it’s good to have people out here today and good to have our team to be able to in here for the first time and practice,” Head Coach Mike Riley said.

Josh Stewart, former wide receiver for UTSA, also spoke on the benefits of playing inside the Alamodome in front of a home crowd.

“Coming in the dome, all the guys are excited to play here and we just tell them, yea baby, it’s gonna be a great feeling when we can pack this thing out and get everybody in San Antonio to come support the Commanders,” Stewart said.

The season starts on February 9, inside the Alamodome, against the San Diego Fleet.
