BEXAR COUNTY, Texas — A man is now in custody after a chase through Bexar County Wednesday morning.

• Man threatened and assaulted girlfriend
• Chase started near Windcrest
• Driving stolen truck

Just before midnight, deputies got a call about a man assaulting his girlfriend and threatening to drive a vehicle through her home.

Authorities arrived to find the stolen truck already up on the porch.

Deputies say the driver then fled.

The chase spanned from near Windcrest, Texas, to Von Ormy.

The driver reached speeds of 30 mph.

The incident came to an end when deputies used spikes to tear up the truck’s tires.
