ATASCOSA COUNTY, Texas — Several people are hurt after an estimated 30–40 vehicle crash on I-37 southbound Wednesday morning.

• 30–40 vehicles invovled
• 2 people in critical condition
• Traffic diverted to ALT 281 

Texas Department of Public Safety said two of the injured people are in critical condition. They said fog was a factor.

Both lanes were closed between FM 1099 and FM 99 initially, northbound lanes were opened a few hours later. 

Southbound lanes remain closed.
