COLUMBUS, Ohio — Stonewall Columbus, in a post on their website, highlighted the number of marchers, attendees and estimated economic impact of their 2025 Pride Festival & Resource Fair.
The march on June 14 featured more than 18,000 people, reads the post from Executive Director Densil Porteous, marching “beneath banners of joy, queer resistance, and righteous protest—calling out injustice while proclaiming love.”
Across the two days, the events saw more than 650,000 attendees.
“What we saw was pure queer and allied resistance—not just in protest but in joy,” Porteous’s post reads. “Celebration is resistance. From spontaneous chants and rainbow exuberance to seeing individuals and organizations show up as their full selves, we witnessed the profound power of visibility and unity.
Additionally, the festivities had an effect on the local economy. Stonewall Columbus estimates $7.6 million in economic impact, “fueling local hotels, restaurants, shops, vendors and performers.”
“Columbus, you showed up United in Power—and you showed up in love,” the post reads. “Here’s to the next chapter of our movement. May we carry this weekend’s momentum forward—in protest and in pride, in joy and in solidarity.”
