Fans say they liked the variety of activities people had to choose from, whether it was shopping for sneakers or enjoying the All-Star experience at the Epicentre.

"On a scale from one to 10, I'd give it a 10. The city's real secure, everything's clean, I love it here because the people are friendly, and I love Bojangles," said Michael Lewis, who made the trip from Oakland.

"They got a little bit of everything for everybody. I think the biggest selling point for me is that everything is in a close proximity," said Jordan Riggs, who flew in from Detroit for the weekend.

Fans say even with the influx of fans, the city stepped up to make sure everyone felt safe.

"Security is definitely around. You don't have to worry about your car getting broken into, getting mugged. They're everywhere, they're on every corner, they're cordial, they're polite. So they did a wonderful job with that," says Derrick Knox, a fan from Atlanta.

For those fans making their plans for next year, All-Star weekend will be in Chicago.
