A soggy start to our weekend as a cold front along with a weak area of low pressure moves slowly moves across the region. The front will dive south as the low tracks offshore this afternoon ensuring our Saturday isn't a complete washout. A few patches of drizzle will be possible this afternoon but the major story today will be the temperatures.

We've already hit our daytime high temperatures this morning for many locations just after sunrise and before the cold front move through. Cooler air behind the front will flow in through the day causing a cooling trend and limiting heating through day. Afternoon highs for many will peak in the 40s as skies remain mostly cloudy.

Another area of low pressure will arrive tomorrow. Most of the day Sunday will be dry until the low's arrival late Sunday afternoon. Rain will expand across the state Sunday night into Monday morning.

Keep the umbrella close by after the weekend. We'll be stuck in a unsettled, wet weather pattern that will provide a decent rain chance over the next week. With consecutive rainy days, flash flooding will be a growing concern so remain weather aware.
