FORT BRAGG, N.C. -- Officials say a Fort Bragg service member sustained injuries during a training exercise on base on Monday.

  • Service members were taking part in a pistol training
  • A service member sustained injuries during that training and was taken to the hospital
  • There is no word on that person's current condition 

According to officials, service members were taking part in pistol training for deployment readiness when the injury occurred.

The person, assigned to the Joint Special Operations Command headquarters, received onsite medical treatment and was also taken to Womack Army Medical Center.

There is no word on that person’s condition. No other injuries were reported.
