RALEIGH, N.C. -- Federal prosecutors have accused two Fort Bragg soldiers of arranging fraudulent marriages between soldiers and immigrants in exchange for money, furniture and housing. 

• U.S. Department of Justice said arrest warrants were issued for Sgt. Edward Kumi Anguah and Pvt. Ahmid Mohammed-Murtadaas
• The investigation began in December
• A soldier confirmed a marriage was fraudulent during the investigation

It's reported that the U.S. Department of Justice said arrest warrants were issued for Sgt. Edward Kumi Anguah and Pvt. Ahmid Mohammed-Murtadaas well as a third person on charges of marriage fraud, misuse of visas and aiding and abetting.

Authorities say the investigation began in December when a Homeland Security agent interviewed a private about having an affair with a single soldier while married to someone else. During that interview, the soldier confirmed that the marriage was fraudulent.

Court records show part of the deal called for the soldier to receive a basic housing allowance stipend, two months' rent and furniture for a new off-post apartment.
