NATIONWIDE — Apple announced that a bug lets users listen in on people they are calling without them picking-up.

The user can even see through the front-facing camera of the person they are calling.

The bug was flagged by 9to5 Mac on Monday.

It was then recreated and verified by people all over social media.

Apple stated it has a fix for the problem and will release it in a software update later in the week.

Until then, Apple says the safest bet is to disable Facetime until the update is available. It has also made the group chat function in FaceTime unavailable until the issue is fixed.

It should be noted that not every iPhone user seems to be impacted by the bug.
