  • A GoFundMe page and Facebook group have been established

St. Cloud Police Department evidence indicated that Jah’Sean Hodge, 21, was the suspect in the stabbing of Jada on May 5, authorities said. He was shot to death by officers later in the day.

Snyder said she struggled to believe Hodge could have stabbed Jada because of his relationship with the family.

Jada is slowly recovering and looking to pick up the pieces, Snyder said.

Snyder’s friends are trying to help her by raising enough funds to move the family out of the home where the stabbing happened.

“I got the evidence. I wanted to know. I got my who. I will never know my why,” Snyder said. “…But at least my daughter is alive; she’s able to play… She’s able to have her same voice. She still does karaoke. She still wants to be a singer.”.

Items and supplies also are being gathered for Jada to get her prepared for the start of school. She needs shorts in sizes 7/8; shirts in sizes 8/9, size 12 pants; and shoes in sizes 3-1/2 to 4.
