PALM BAY, Fla. — Police in Palm Bay are investigating a fourth shooting in 24 hours.

A 911 call came in about 1:15 a.m. Wednesday, according to police. The shooting happened by the intersection of Northview Street and Liberia Avenue.

The male victim is in critical condition at a hospital. Authorities don’t have any suspect information at this time.

The shooting comes just a day after three deadly shootings nearby.

Police think a drug deal gone wrong led to the first two homicides. Those victims have been identified as Jerome Harris, 23, and Jayln Decosto, 21.

Authorities found the men about 75 yards from each other at about 12:30 a.m. Tuesday. Police found one man by Florida Avenue Northeast and Northview Street, and the other by Liberia Avenue and Henry Street.

The third homicide, about 4 miles away at the 2000 block of Agora Circle, is unrelated to the double homicide, according to police.

A 61-year-old man was found dead there at about 2:30 a.m Tuesday. Police took a person of interest in that case into custody after a search in the area of Hickory Avenue NE and Lichty Street Northeast that afternoon.

Police have not released the names of that victim, nor the person of interest. They also haven't said whether the person of interest has been arrested or charged.
