The new experience will be called “The Great Florida Road Trip, A Classic Vacation and Photo Travelogue with the Flamingo Family” will launch in January, officials from the entertainment complex announced Monday.
As part of the interactive game, visitors will get a historic look back at Florida before the arrival of the major theme parks.
“Part game, part educational opportunity, this experience will put the spotlight on Florida’s legacy as an entertainment and tourist destination,” according to a news release. "Guests will be taken on a journey that highlights the historic locations that have beckoned visitors for decades.”
To create the experience, ICON Park partnered with Orlando-based IDEAS, Knoxville, Tenn.-based Creative Amusements and Lafayette, Ind.-based Steradian Technologies.
Beyond a trip down memory lane, the experience will also offer visitors a look at other things Florida has to offer.
ICON Park plans to share more details about The Great Florida Road Trip experience on Thursday at IAAPA Expo, which is being held at the Orange County Convention Center.
