ORLANDO, Fla. — “Festival of the Lion King” will officially return to Disney’s Animal Kingdom in July, bringing one of the show's most popular acts along with it.

​​The show, which has been performed in a modified format since May 2021, will return to its full version on July 16, Disney has announced.

When the previous version of the show returns to the Harambe Theatre, so will the popular tumble monkeys.

In the show, the tumble monkeys flip, jump and perform other stunts in a high-energy gymnastics routine.

Disney also shared that the bird dancers will again perform their aerial act above the stage.

As Disney prepares to bring back the full show, the modified show “A Celebration of Festival of the Lion King” will officially end its run July 4.

There will be no shows available at the theater July 5-15.

“Festival of the Lion King” is a Broadway-style show that features music and characters inspired by the Disney animated film, “The Lion King.” The show also features large puppets, dancers and acrobatic acts.
