What You Need To Know

  • Storms this afternoon could be severe with damaging winds as the main threat

  • The strongest storms will also drop heavy rain and possibly hail

  • Storms are likely across the southern half of Ohio

Storms are working through areas mainly along and south of Interstate 70 the rest of Thursday. A few of these storms could be severe with damaging winds as the main threat with wind gusts as high as 60 mph.

Hail has also been reported from some of the storms this afternoon. In addition, downpours are likely thanks to the muggy air that's in place.

There is a low chance of a brief tornado, as well.

Most of the system pushes out of Ohio overnight.
