“We'll have about 2,000 dogs over three days, and they have a ball. They just have a ball,” said Cantin. “We'll have over 700 dogs jump in the dog diving competition. It is such a big competition that you're a qualifier for the Nationals."

There are even opportunities to adopt a pet. There’s something for everyone at the Columbus Pet Expo.

“At the end of the day, we're probably responsible for, you know, 500 to 1,000 adoptions,” said Cantin.

Cantin started this expo 30 years ago and said he has seen first-hand how much the pet industry has changed over the years.

“Thirty years ago, they used to put a dog in a doghouse. But I think somebody called the police. If you put a dog in the doghouse now, you know, they're part of the family,” said Cantin.

It’s a weekend of fun for you, your family and your furry friend. The Columbus Pet Expo is Friday, March 7 to Sunday, March 9. You can purchase tickets online by clicking here.
