NORTH TONAWANDA, N.Y. — North Tonawanda police announced the Amber alert issued for a 17-year-old girl is now canceled.
Pennsylvania State Police announced at 8:48 a.m. Tuesday that the individual was safely located.
The alert was issued at 12:54 a.m. Tuesday after police say White was last seen on Niagara Falls Blvd. in North Tonawanda around 7 p.m.
Police said they had reason to believe the teenager was in imminent danger of serious harm or death.

The suspect, according to police, is 50-year-old Michael D. Mesko.
Mesko was released from Niagara County jail last Wednesday. Police say he was being held on two counts of second-degree rape, and two counts of second-degree criminal sex act.
An Amber alert is issued when a minor is taken under circumstances that lead police to believe that they are in imminent danger of serious harm and/or death.
