LOS ANGELES — "Alta" is a collaboration between photographer/artist Marcus Lyon, the Getty Conservation Institute and the Los Angeles Public Library's Central Library. It runs until April 27.
The project exists across multiple formats, including an exhibition at LA Central Public Library, public activations across regional libraries and outdoor spaces downtown, a podcast and an interactive book.
Each of the 100 participants are represented through photographic portraits, DNA maps and interviews that reveal how their lives intersect with LA, creating a legacy document about the city, its people and communities.
