Courtney Furtado has lived in Madison County her entire life and received her Bachelor’s Degree in Meteorology from SUNY Oswego, so she’s all-too familiar with the ever-changing weather of Central New York.
Courtney has been with Spectrum News for nine years and has done endless hours of severe weather coverage. The most memorable story for Courtney was when she covered six or seven different tornado warnings in one night, all while being seven months pregnant.
When Courtney isn’t filling you in on the forecast, she enjoys spending time with her growing family - she’ll be a mom of two kids under the age of two in May! If you ask this Central New York native about the best kept secret in the area, she’ll tell you to try out the corn at the Kubecka Farms farmstand.
