Rush-Henrietta grad Desmond Green makes his Rochester UFC debut Saturday.

Green fights Charles Jourdain in a lightweight fight on the undercard of the first Rochester UFC Fight Night event at the Blue Cross Arena Saturday.

Green, who wrestled at Rush-Henrietta and the University at Buffalo, made his UFC Debut in Buffalo in UFC 210.

When he heard that UFC was coming to his hometown, he offered to fight for free just to have a chance to be on the card. He sees it as a good omen that he got the call on Good Friday that he'd in Rochester.

He recently moved his mom to Florida and while he still has aunts and cousins in Rochester, everyone will be here.

"I've got a suite here with all family. There's 50 seats, they're all filled," said Green who has been "feeling like Christmas is coming," for the past two weeks in anticipation.

The main event is a welterweight bout between Rafael Dos Anjos and Kevin Lee, both fighters have moved up from the lightweight division in the past year.
