Residents in three school districts in Central New York have given the go-ahead on big capital projects.

Eighty-seven percent of voters in the East Syracuse Minoa Central School District agreed to a nearly $50 million project that will bring renovations to every elementary school in the district. That was passed by a vote of 533-81.

In the Liverpool Central School District, 70 percent of neighbors voted to reauthorize their Phase 3 Capital Project after bids to complete it came in over budget. $5.8 million will be added to the project's previous budget of $39.5 million, originally approved a couple of years ago.

That was passed by a vote of 458-193.

Finally, 80 percent of Marcellus residents approve a $9.9 million dollar project. That was passed by a vote of 325-79.

Officials will now be able to fix drainage and heating issues in Driver Middle School and upgrade the high school's athletic complex. No additional tax increase comes with the passing of the project.

Construction is scheduled to take place during the summers of 2020 and 2021.
