A teenager was injured after an overnight shooting in Syracuse.

It happened on 500 block of Bellevue Avenue around 12:30 a.m. Friday.

Police say a 15-year-old was walking in the area with others when a car passing by shot at them. A bullet hit the teenager in the leg.

An ambulance transported the victim to the hospital, but his injuries are considered not to be life-threatening.

The investigation is ongoing, and there is no other suspect information at this time. Syracuse police ask anyone with details of the shooting to call 315-442-5222. All calls will be kept confidential.
