Oswego's oldest commercial building is no longer vacant.

Built in 1828, the Cahill building is now home to luxury apartments. It had been abandoned since Coleman's Irish Pub closed 10 years ago.

The historic building got a pick-me-up after receiving a grant from Oswego's Downtown Revitalization Initiative.

"Downtown is  revitalizing, it's coming back, we're introducing quality units, residential units in our downtown. And that's the key, I believe, to a successful downtown, is to introduce these units, get people down here living downtown, experiencing downtown," said Mayor Billy Barlow.

More developments are in the works with the revitalization money. Including a water park, another apartment building and renovations to the Children's museum.
