People strolling through downtown Syracuse might have noticed some eye-catching art work on vacant storefront windows.

It's part of the "Art in Windows" program, created to help rent and beautify available spaces.

Chosen artists are provided with grant funding to put projects together through the city's downtown committee.

Two local photographers, Jordan Harmon and Chris Stein, call their six-window gallery "Contrast Cuse."

They say their photos showcase iconic buildings throughout the city and convey a pro-Syracuse message.

"The cameras that Chris and I both use are really good with contrasts black and white, mute colors like we have here," said photographer Jordan Harmon. "And a lot of them are looking up, I think all but two photos are looking up. It's a play on positive when you're looking up."

The gallery will be on display on S. Salina Street through September.
