Governor Cuomo's midnight romp inspecting the Big Apple's 'L' subway line didn't prevent him from making a last minute appearance this morning on an upstate radio program where he reiterated support for the pay commission's recommendations surrounding pay hikes for lawmakers, and of course, himself and his commissioners.

It comes amidst bubbling tension in the legislature over the commission's authority and ultimate legality. Several Assembly Democrats, including Speaker Heastie, are unhappy with the report, and now, as we reported earlier, a lawsuit has been filed by the Government Law Center, seeking an injunction before hikes go into effect on January 1st.
