WEATHER HEADLINES:

→ Turning Cooler Tonight

→ Gradually Warming Up

→ Staying Dry for the Rest of the Week

A mainly clear sky is tap for Rochester and the Finger Lakes tonight. Couple that lack of cloud cover with just a light breeze, and temperatures will tumble.

By the time you head out the door Tuesday morning, it will be noticeably cooler with morning lows in the upper 40s and lower 50s.

However, that mainly clear sky overnight will carry on throughout the day on Tuesday. Even with all of the sunshine overhead, high temperatures on Tuesday are still only expected to max out around 70 to 75°.

Tuesday won’t be the only day of quiet weather this week. In fact, it will be a stretch of tranquil conditions through the rest of this work and school week. Through Friday, more sun than clouds will be overhead during the day.

As the week progresses though, temperatures will gradually start to feel more like summer once again.

Low to mid 70s for Tuesday and Wednesday, will turn into the mid to upper 70s come Thursday. By Friday, highs are pushing near 80°.

More spots across Rochester and the Finger Lakes will crack into the low 80s for this weekend. However, a sunny start on Saturday will start to see more clouds build in for Sunday.

That increase in cloud cover will be ahead of our next rain chance.

However, as the forecast stands right now, most of Sunday looks to be dry. The rain doesn’t look to move in any earlier than Sunday night as our next cold front sweeps through.

Rain will be possible for next Monday as high temperatures behind that frontal passage fall back into the low 70s.
