It’ll stay windy and mild this evening with only a brief isolated shower or two. Most areas will stay dry with temps holding around 70. Dry weather is expected for high school football tonight.

A cold front will move into the region after midnight with a round of showers and a couple of storms. Wind gusts tonight will range from close to 40 mph in the Rochester area and generally north of the Thruway to close to 50 mph over the higher terrain in the Finger Lakes.

Any thunderstorms after midnight will end before sunrise on Saturday, but a few scattered showers will linger into the morning. Otherwise, look for dry weather and increasing sun Saturday afternoon and highs in the 70s.

Sunday looks a bit cooler than previous model runs have indicated with more clouds likely and even the chance for a spotty shower after noon. Temps also look to peak in the 70s.

A fast-moving front will arrive Sunday night and into Monday with a few scattered showers followed by beautiful weather Tuesday through Thursday. Even Friday looks good though the chance for spotty showers will develop.

Have a great evening!
