Jalen Pickett had another standout season for the Saints. The Aquinas grad helped Siena win 20 games while being named MAAC Player of the Year.

Pickett finished his second year just shy of a career milestone.

"I think I was like 30 points off from 1,000 and we were left with two or three games left on the board so, and that kind of sucks but life happens and you got to keep going with it,” he said.

The success is nothing new for Pickett at Siena. Named MAAC rookie of the Year in 2019, the 6’4” guard was even better this year.

"My shooting numbers went up,” said Pickett. “That was one of the big things I had to work on and being able to finish in the paint. I think my two-point percentage was up. I did a great job getting assists and really limiting my turnovers."

After his freshman season Pickett declared for the NBA Draft. Working out for several teams he eventually decided to return to Siena. He's unsure of what he'll do this time around.

"I've tried to take this week to really just settle down and really get to see my family and then I think we'll talk about it and see what happens after that," said Pickett.

"I just don't want to rush my process. I want to take my time and make sure I make the right choice. I made the right choice coming to Siena and I just want to make the right choice if I'm going to take the next step or not,” said Pickett.

With the NBA season still on hold, the draft is still scheduled for June 25.
