Rochester native and Siena freshman basketball standout Jalen Pickett has been invited to the NBA G-League Elite Camp in Chicago.

The Aquinas grad recently declared for the NBA Draft after a stellar first season at Siena where he averaged nearly 16 points per game and was unanimously selected as MAAC Rookie of the Year.

This is the first year of the pre-draft NBA G-League Elite Camp, replacing the former G-League Mini-Camp. The three-day scouting event runs May 12-14 and will feature 2019 NBA hopefuls and the NBA G-League's top prospects. A select number of players from the draft-eligible pool of players will be invited to the NBA Draft Combine based on their performance at this camp in Chicago.

Pickett is excited and ready for the opportunity to showcase his skills against top talent.

"Just see where I stand with the every other college players around and see if I can play there at the next level," Pickett said. "Just get some feedback on my game and learn the ins and outs of the next level. I'm going to go down there and see where I stand. If I can go to the NBA I would, but you know if I don't, I'll be able to come back and play at Siena."

Pickett has until May 29 to decide if he'll turn pro.
