The first place Amerks are getting set for their first three game weekend of the season.

The road trip includes stops in Springfield, Providence and Hartford. Sunday's afternoon game against the Wolfpack features a matinee with the puck drop at 3 p.m.

Although three games, in three days, in three different cities sounds like a challenging endeavor, Amerks players are confident about the matchups.

"It's just part of playing in the minors. Just something you have to deal with," said defenseman Andrew MacWilliam. "It's almost more mentally draining than physical. It's definitely a character builder for sure."

"You just have to find your way to get the energy going Sunday afternoon, that third game in three days. You're just trying to find your own energy that third day," said forward Rasmus Asplund.

"It's the last game before another week so you put everything out there," said head coach Chris Taylor. "It's fun, especially on the road. We've played well all year on the road here and I think the guys, our leaders have showed the way and how to play these games so I'm expecting another big weekend for us."

Amerks are 4-1 on the road so far this season and 10-3 overall — good for 21 points and a first place standing in the North Division. They also have one of the best goal differentials in the AHL with 53 goals for and only 39 against.
